Even during winter time? (i am referring here to 2.0, 2.2, 2.5, 3.0...not the Ms, although anyone is welcome to answer).

How does it perform on snow - is it an acceptably safe-to-drive car?

Cheers! :play:

Al the time Summer Winter, but work from home, however take it on all the long distance business trips to make the journey more interesting.

a girl in a 3.0si coupe, using it as a "regular" every day car. now that's HOT !...and I have to admit, I feel a little intimidated

Next winter I'll put on special tyres... the Bridgestone RFT's are 'interesting' in the snow, but on winter tyres it's just fine.

As jhuining said, the high performance tires are "interesting" in the cold. New set of PS2 ZPs last fall. Coldest winter in I don't know when, felt like she was constantly on the edge. Now, summer is here with higher than normal temps and she's like she's stuck to the road with velcro. Loads of fun. She's not a garage queen-driven every day.

Its german = safe
Use it ALL the time - why would you not?
They are not meant to be for a museum - they are meant to be used

USE IT!

All day everyday (nearly) for me.

I do have access to an estate pool car at work.. however as generally speaking this is my only car.... whch makes buying house hold items (compost + tiles) a tad tricky at times!

Don't use it for everyday use, but don't see why I couldn't if necessary. It's surprisingly economical, the coupe has a decent boot and it's comfy to distance in. My major complaint would be that if I did take it shopping some twat would leave their mark on it while parking.

Been there... done that... got the T-Shirt (or should I say scracth!)

I only drive mine to work. I go shopping in my Polo. Never leave my Zed in shopping/supermarket carparks.

I can't vote as I'm sort of between options 2 and 3! :P

Use mine sometimes for work (mainly other car or scooter or motorbike), never for shopping and other menial duties (have an old Terrios for that). Mainly evenings or weekends in all weathers unless very snowy!

Use mine every day for all reasons (but not to work as I am retired   ) Early in year drove 52 miles in the snow east to west across the Pennines and the Z never missed a beat or put a wheel wrong. Very safe car :driving:

Mines a daily driver. Only doesnt get taken out when we decide to take the missus car to work instead of mine. There is no point us taking both.

Found the Z a bit skitty in the snow and ice last winter. However, it was more than manageable and always felt I knew what the car was doing. I was more fearful of the other road users than myself. Also had standard run flats on it. I would expect better with winter tyres but not really necessary here.

Saying that, it wouldnt go up the driveway because of the ice although the incline isnt much atall. We took it to the Lake District for new year and performed flawlessly despite the very icy roads and the blizzard and snow covered motorway we encountered over the Pennines (highest UK motorway for all those not Brits).

We've been camping in it recently for 4 nights. Full tent, cooking equipment aswell as all other items we needed. Boot was full to the brim but easily did it.

Voted for daily driver. Very practical for a sports car. Of course, no sprogs to worry about
