Used video camera suggestions

My teenage daughter wants a video camera to mess around with during lockdown. Rather than lay out a fortune on a brand new one thought I would go the Ebay route as tech tends to devalue pretty quickly. As always there are 1,000s to choose from, can anyone suggest a decent model or two that would likely be a good buy from our our favourite online bidding site.

Any half decent digital camera will have 4k video and a zoom lens. Yet to find a bad one.

If she has a recent mobile phone it could well be better quality than an older camera though. Just won't have the same zoom capabilities as a dedicated camera. Even smaller sensors devices can produce decent images these days. It only when things start moving quickly and the light is poor that they lag a way behind.

Yes she has, not quite the same though.

I think you underestimate how good video is from a modern phone. BBC reporters use them as here shot on an iPhone 8 which is a few years old now. https://twitter.com/dougalshawBBC/status/1092412190861258752

I would assume though that a teenage daughter would have at least an equal understanding of the phone capabilities and therefore if she is still asking for a video camera she must have other ideas for it.
Sorry OP, I cannot help but hopefully eventually someone will actually answer your original question.
