used hardtop - average prices?

How much should one pay for average, used in good condition Z4 hardtop?

also, is the hardtop interchangeable between facelift and pre-facelift?
What should one check before buying it?
Would a UK hardtop fit a left hand drive car?

I have seen few on Ebay from 200 to 1500 euros in germany and this means either quality varies, some are non OEM, or just some are scams???

I'm wondering if I should be asking for one from dealer or shop myself on ebay. 400 euros is cheap enough for a roof i guess.

I can only go off the UK,

New about £1800

Used on Ebay usually between £750 - £1000

I would be suprised if there is any difference in Left Hand drive & Right Hand drive Cars.

No difference between pre & post facelift.

Just check condition as you would with anything.

If it looks abused walk away.
 
well, they are all in germany and you can communicate with them trhough email (google translator is a great thing). But on phone i guess it's not that hard language to figure out shipping etc. I do have a friend who is fluent in german so i guess i'm not worried too much about the language issue but more about shipping cost (bet it will be 300 euros or so!). :|

i think you can tell. some are having 10 or more bids. I'm sure it will go up. I just figured the only one thats expensive is brand new while others are used... :S
 
one thing i can tell you ,
used hardtop i say 1500 less go for it.
ithink those german hardtops +shipping would be cheaper than u get it here
The guy name jack used to have sap black for 1500? +shipping
and sold it real quick so.
let me know if you get one too
i def want to get those haha

also it's better to get cheaper ones and repaint them if there is one that's cheap enough

Some of those prices are misleading though - if you do the translation (I don't pretend to speak deutsch, just click on Google Language Tools :D ), one of them has a badly scratched spoiler, while on another cheap one the guy has no idea what the paint colour/code is, other than its a black of some kind.

Hesios is right about a respray though....the rare colours are always cheaper cos fewer people want them! :thumbsup:
