USB charger for E89

I’m looking for a USB charger to plug into the cigarette lighter socket in the ash tray. From memory (I’m in France and the car is in the U.K.) the socket in the ash tray is smaller than the one under the armrest. Could anyone please let me know the size and any recommendations they have. I found a photo on the Internet of a LHD car but this is the socket I mean.

I have an Inforad speed camera detector in a standard adaptor in the cigarette lighter socket. The Inforad updates via a standard USB port on a laptop. So, I assume a standard adaptor will serve your needs.

However, the lighter socket is live only when the ignition is on.

OK, so reading that what I'm about to put is probably pointless :D

It has both USB ports rated at 2.4w, as opposed to one being lower (normally around 1.5w), so both can charge power hungry phones/tablets if required (I got the twin pack because I gave one to my Mrs for her car). It works a treat and I have no issues with anything I use it for.
