A question for our American cousins. Me and the Missus are going to America in June. We are flying into Boston, four days there. Driving to New York Four nights. From there going to Washington DC (Hotel not booked yet). Now heres the question. We want to drive from Washington to Buffalo (Niagara Falls) what is a good half way place to stay over for one night. then returning from Buffalo to Boston, what is a good stopover place? If you take the route that takes you just East of Pittsburgh you could stay the night around the area of the I-76 interchange with I-79. One possible hotel would be 'Four Points By Sheraton North" located nearby.

As for Bufflao to Boston you would want to stay somewhere between Utica and Albany, NY. Should be a lot of good motel/hotel choices in those areas on I-90.

FYI when I travel where overnite stops in route are necessary I usually do not make reservations in advance as long as my travel plans allow me to stop around 4 PM. Along almost all major Interstate route there is always a wide choice of motels/hotels and walking in any getting a room on the spot is rarely ever a problem.

I was going to poke fun at WLH for stopping early but I won't.
Watch out for travel on Holiday Weekends, reservations are a must then....
