I was wondering if there would be any complications with putting headlights off of a US Z4 onto my Z4, reason im asking is because i might be trading my lights with his so need to know if it will be just a straight swop???
Are you in UK? In the US, the right-hand light is focused more up and to the right so it's exactly the opposite to the UK. I know that cj10jeeper has been "into" the headlights of a Z4 more than about anyone so he can help quite a bit. So, short answer is they will physically fit, but whether they will "fit" is another answer.
Danny - Smokin is right. US beams are designed for LHD and UK of course RHD. Don't waste your money onUS lights. They are not assymetric and the beam pattern will not work in the UK and have no correction levers as we are acustomed to for EU driving. They also have a different configuration for driving lights, etc.
For sure you can rework thenm internally if you have some components to switch over, but not a simple task.
Post what you are considering and I'll give advice.
If you found a set of nice clear indicators or a swap from back to silver inners - nice try but think again...
Reply may be on Monday as I'm out for the weekend up a mountain somewhere on the Welsh borders.
Amoung some differences between US and UK/EU lights are the wiring, no white side marker/standing lights, and US headlights are not remotely adjustable from the driver's seat for horozontal adjustments such as EU/UK cars are.
Danny, check you PM I had sent you an offer to buy your UK lights
