Urgently need roof hydraulic fluid today, what/where to buy?

Hi guys,

I have just realised that my roof hydraulic level is definitely low and needs topping up. I really need to get this done today as the roof is out on the ground and its due to dump down tomorrow!

Is any hydraulic fluid good? Is there a certain spec? Halfords/motor factors sell hydraulic fluid but I just want to make sure I don't buy the wrong stuff!

Just done a search on here can't find a conclusive answer.
One thread did say you can buy the correct hydraulic fluid from your local BMW dealer (if it's on the shelf, if they're open Sat pm)

Other than that I'd buy the best branded fluid available (but of course that's my opinion not an instruction).

Good luck getting it done before it rains :cry:

Yeah I tried to search too but couldn't find anything!

Bmw parts are now shut.

I hope someone else can give me a definite answer!
