URGENT : Blown a fuse!

Hi,

Wonder if you can help, I seem to have blown a fuse!!

I currently have no SATNAV, no speedo or rev counter (or dial lights), indicators don't work of stalk but do work if hazards are on.

Now I know where the fuse box is but for there are hundreds, don't suppose anybody knows which one it might be?

Cheers

Yeah there is, I've now basically pulled & checked every fuse but I still haven't got SATNAV, DSC warning light is on and so is the airbag light, still no indicators on the stalks etc :(

Bummer!

Interestingly the indicators are working there is just no tick tick tick or indication on the dash.

Fuse card shows instrument cluster is 12,23,24 so I might just get brand new fuses for these.

Also the speedo and rev counter don't work so I'm guessing it's all to do with the "Instrument Cluster" which is fuse 12,23,24. Out with the kids this afternoon so I'll try and pick up some new fuses.

I'm wondering if there is some kind of "master fuse" for the interior?

OK I seem to have everything back but the DSC warning indicator is illuminated and the handbrake warning light is always amber!

Also the runflat indicator refuses to go off even when I hold down the button on the centre console.

ASC/DSC are fuses 7,24,42,43 so I will replace those tomorrow.

Not sure what to do about the runflat indicator, can't find a fuse for that one ;)

Could it be more than coincidence that the runflat indicator and ASC/DSC are ABS sensor related?
Not that I know a lot about these things.
So many things going wrong, I hope there's not a bigger underlying cause :(

My other half has just admitted to me that she had to "jump start" the car last week as she left the lights on, is there anyway this could have caused an issue?

I've changed all the ASC/DCS fuses but the lamps above are still illuminated, guess I'm going to have to book it in to a garage!

Absolutely! Did she use the appropriate terminals under the hood/bonnet? Did they ground appropriately?

From what she has shown/told me it looks like they used the appropriate terminals, I guess something might have gone wrong, I guess I could be looking at a blown ASC/DSC ECU so I bet that ain't gonna be cheap!

You should be able to find out a cause relatively quickly from a code reader altho the dealer will charge for this.

If you know an Indy and you want it cheap this could be a good root to finding the cause.

I would be optimistic - jumping may have registered codes which might be resettable with no lasting problems

Panic over, drove the car about half a mile down the road and now all the lights have gone out :)

I have seen such combinations of lights when I have been messing with the battery off. I think the car needs to cover a short distance for the ABS sensor and TPS to do their calculations and reset. The ASC/DSC will show until the ABS is functioning.

Yep I think you've pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Just a hunch, but I get that exact same triplet of indicator lights when the battery isn't 100% full (due to running an auxilary heater) and then especially when I start the car too soon, not letting it complete its boot process... Happens maybe once a week. Waiting until the seat-belt warning light goes off seems to help (not that that light does anything particular, but its about the last thing that happens). Switching the car off and then back on again always solves the problem, not having to move it an inch, not touching the stearing wheel, so I assume it's not directly sensor related... I suspect the voltage just isn't smooth enough for the ABS unit to boot properly.

Funny thing is that I got this exact same problem, ABS boot failure that is, on my R1100RT as well, also when the battery wasn't completely charged.
