Upgrading the sound system

I put in Focal Polyglass 165 v3 3 way components, sounds great

Andy, do you have a link to a thread showing what you did? I am interested in going down the 3 way Focal component route but concerned about if they will fit. Did you use adapters on the door speakers? Where did you fit the cross overs?

Bavarian system, perfect fit for Zeds.....£325 from the states for both tweeters and mid range replacements, its on my very long Mod list :headbang:

I'm looking at the 3 way Focal's for £189 or 4" coaxial version for £70. I will not be paying £325 for the overpriced Bavarian 4" component option!

Just upgrading your speakers without sufficient amplification wont do those justice.

Think about how many times you see someone drive a high end car and know they'd never really use all those ponies to their full potential. Same principle.

The biggest issue is your source to the amplifier.

Yes there are some FANTASTIC options out there, but as with most things, the better the option the bigger the price tag.

To the op, as before, go aftermarket. There are companies that invest ridiculous amounts of money solely on oem integration.

Audison, JL Audio, JBL to name a few that make some great products.

You don't need to further than the first paragraph to know it's a serious piece of kit that will solve all your issues and give you some added features.

Swapping for another oem solution from another car isn't going to be any better, given the cost involved you're better off going aftermarket and having better product in your car!

but then again, thats just my 2p.

Totally agree!

In my case the speakers are the limiting factor as I have 2 amps fed directly from the HU and pap speakers
