Just wondering if anyone knows whether its straightforward to facelift the 2004 BMW Z4 (2.2 SE)?
By facelifting I mean changing the front and rear lights to the newer style, is it as simple as removing and putting the new unit in place?

Thanks

Fronts will be as long as if you've got xenons now you upgrade to facelift xenons and the same for halogens.

The rears are not a straight fit. You'd need the facelift rear bumper, facelift light surrounds (can get away with not having these but it looks much neater with) and a small amount of wiring for the lights to function correctly.

The front are not a straight swap if you have xenons, you need to either change LCM or if you have sat nav and Intravee then switch on flash to pass.

I think this is the same for halogen headlights too, it's because facelift don't have an inside maim bulb but do everything via the outer bulb, pre-facelift use inner bulb for main beam and flash to pass

Didn't realise that. Thanks for clearing that up!

Could it not be coded to save changing the LCM?
