Upgrading brakes

Any recommendations for reasonable price upgraded brakes?

Do you mean upgrading the size or just different brand replacements?

I fitted Mtec drilled/grooved discs and Textar E-pads to my 3.0i (300mm front discs, 294mm rear discs) and they feel great for general driving and the odd weekend blast. The E-pads give out barely any dust, which is also a benefit

Very detailed as in what calipers and carriers are needed if you want to go bigger.

You can use brakes from a e46 330... see this one if you haven't already found it
