Upgrade to an "M" roady

Nice car but a whole lot of dosh for a 9 year old car - these cars do seem to hold their value - I love red zeds and it seems that you have to go up to an M to get one :( I've thought about upgrading but then I've put on my sensible hat and weighed up the pro's and con's opposed to keeping my 3.0 SE - yes I can afford one but can I justify the extra running costs on top of the £10k + cost it would take to upgrade ie £500 a year road tax for a weekend toy ( or in my case 300 miles a year  although since having my new springs fitted I am making an effort to take it out more :D ) 23mpg etc . TBH in my opinion it doesn't look a lot different from a 3.0 and is not that faster in performance although if you're a true petrolhead it must be be a revelation in driving . Totally agree with your sentiment about dealers - you just don't know what you're getting ! Black doesn't do a anything for me though ( we all have different tastes ) a real bugger to keep clean and even worse if you haven't got a garage .

Anyway good luck in your search if you go down this route !

Thanks for the very sensible input Gov. Agree with the black PoV . I had a 993 a few years ago, bloody lovely when clean but it always looked dirty :( and I had a garage too then. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of silver which so many are so you are left with blue or red if you can find one. Red would be my choice. My trouble is that I have been a little spoilt with my last couple of toys and now I have this Z I just want a little more umph !!

I'm in no hurry, I have a nice car to use for now and will keep my options open.

Cheers
