Upgrade rear 4” speakers

Well it is stereo upgrade time for me 😀

At the moment I have fitted a pioneer dab head unit , but as we all know the speakers are not the greatest, I mean they couldn’t even bother with speakers in the doors.

I have purchased a couple of Alpine amps, a 3 way set of Focals for the front, a couple of 6.5” subs for the rear pockets along with a pre amp to tweet things with.

I am struggling as to what to put in the 4” rear space as they are a 3 bolt pattern. The focals I was going to fit I have been let down on and now can’t get, not that the supplier bothered to tell me.

So the question is what are you fine people using or what would you recommend?
 
I would just disconnect them, they are a bitch to get to and 4” isn’t really good for anything (unless you want mid / vocals at the back, in which case I would just add some tweeters to the 6.5” subs)

Access isn’t a problem as it is all stripped out for fitting the subs.

??? The subs just fit in the space where the cubby holes go. They just pull out from the front in like 30 secs.

But anyway, the question is are you wanting imaging from the rear or just bass?

The subs will be going in to the cubby holes, it was a 6 speaker system before so nothing is fitted in there at the moment.

I was just looking for something to fill the the gap so to speak.

Yes, you pull out the cubbys and everything you need is there to access. You don't need to pull the whole rear panel out (left and right).
