Updating the Daily Driver

Hey guys, so the time has come for me to update my daily driver after 2 great years of ownership it's time to let my fully loaded GT go. I know when it first came out it shocked and turned off many with its looks, however I have nothing but praise for the vehicle as a comfortable luxury cruiser which has eaten up the motorway miles and served me well.

I wanted something to compliment my M3 in both colour and statue as I like to have cars with complementing colours (OCD or what ) so i've opted for an X5 finished in Black Sapphire. This time around i've gone for the BMW Individual interior Platinum Merino with Piano Black Trim as i've seen soo many X5's with black interiors which seem to hide the details. Other than that its pretty stock running 20" 333M's, panoramic sunroof and universal RC with alcantara headlining.

BMW ownership is certaining a disease as this is my 6th and im only 30 :o worrying. Hope your all keeping well and I will have a black monster photoshoot up soon :)

Nice move from the 5GT 8) my Bowker pal says they get extra £££ for shifting a GT
They look good value right now but have to be in the right ext/int colours or they look truly awful
Did you not consider the X6 ?

Nice, love that interior

Did you have a problem shifting the GT? I guess it's a marmite car

Funny you should say that when I traded it in I took a look around and they had quite a number of GT's in stock. I presume owners that have had them for 3/4 years must be trading them in about now.

Interesting info Mr Wilks I must admit they gave me a good price for mine on the trade in so that may explain it. Its only just done 30k so is a really good buy for someone looking for that type of vehicle.

I did take a look at the X6 and they had a particularly nice example that had been fully blacked out. The only problem I have with them is that they are very similar to the GT. Theyre a big heavy 2 wheel drive stretched coupe. One thing I couldnt get over was the size difference between the X5 and 6. The X6 hood is huge compared to the X5, although the interior on the one I was looking at had the full performance carbon kit, looked very tastey.

In the end the deciding factor was the versatility of the X5 and the fact I prefer the design of the rear with M-Sport kit, seems to look more muscular and purposeful.

I definately need to invest in some leather protector thats for sure.
