Updating EPS software

I appreciate that and it is very commendable. I was initially only asking if the EPS software update actually did anything and even though you’ve done it you say you can only ‘guess’ that maybe it’s done something. So in my mind it seems an unnecessary risk to take to mess about with it in this case.

Lol, the engineers definitely did something with the newer version, I don't know because I don't have a log, it doesn't mean it actually did nothing, maybe you can send an email and ask the BMW engineers about what they did and share with us. Besides the flash is easy and fast, I don't see any risk unless your cat pull your OBD cable or battery extender during the flash.
