[updated] Ticking noise on the rear passenger wheel

EDIT I've edited the the post to add a video of the noise. There's a ticking noise coming from the rear passenger side which started after I had new brakes pads and discs installed. It's not suspension or wheel bearing as these are relatively new also.

The car has been with BMW but they couldn't identify the noise. Any ideas?

you can hear it at the 10 sec mark and it normally starts after the car has been running for 10min or so.

I think it's related to the brakes since the noise started after these were fitted. Wondering if i could ask a mechanic to clean up the brakes and refit or maybe it need new anti rattle clips / handbrake shoes?

The car does have spacers but these are on tight and shouldn't be causing a issue.
Did the noise start when the spacers were installed? If so there's a chance your extended wheel bolts are slightly too long and are fouling something, perhaps the handbrake mech inside the hub.

could be the handbrake, spacers have been on for a few years now so dont think its the bolts.

back to BMW i suppose !

We have a ticking/rattling sound at the rear of ours but that is at parking speed. Our mechanic suggested it was a loose spring in the handbrake mechanism. I am replacing the rear springs at the weekend so I will be investigating. It may be heat shield or a stone also for me. Any chance yours could be handbrake mechanism related?

Good try but I had it in the garage yesterday and seems to be the hub/bearing or drive shaft.

Since I've had the bearing and drive shaft replaced I'm going to try getting a new hub! (the backing plate is also new as of last week :? )

This seem to be the part if anyone can check for me pls

Put on a new hub and another new wheel bearing and this ended up fixing the issue, praise god.

Always good to get a closure report on these things ..
