I've made a few changes to the Zed now after getting it 2 months ago. The first thing I did was fit a stubby that I had on my MINI (but for a Fiat Ulysse) which matches up to the base perfectly, then added clear side indicators, tail lights and 3rd brake light. I'm not entirely convinced by the tail lights, they're growing on me but I may red tint the outers leaving the quad clear spots like others have done, not sure yet.

I bought a set of 107 Ellipsoids before even picking the car up without tyres as I've always liked them. I've eventually got round to buying some so now got them on the car (replacing 17s). I've gone for Pirelli P Zero non-RFTs as I go for high quality tyres and they've got some very good reviews. The wheels make a big difference to the look of the car, I'm really happy with them! :D And I've also got my private reg transfered on and fitted small plates. Here's a few pics from my basic camera, any comments or suggestions welcome :)

Hi Matty, She looks sweet M8, I actually really like the rear lights,, Where from? How much?

Fraid Im not a stubby fan though

Looking good, the small front plate (and removal of plate holder) certainly makes the front end look cleaner. Not keen on the rear lights though. otherwise a nice looking machine !

Thanks chaps :D

I got the lights from eBay, they were the first set that came up on there, it seems the same guy has sold several sets since. I paid £100 for the tailights and £40 for the 3rd brake light and collected them, but it seems now you can get them from somewhere else from Germany as a complete set with the side indicators as well for only £75! :o

Yeah, I was running it for the last few weeks with it in the windscreen (as in sig) which made the front end look even better whilst I was getting round to fit it on the bumper, which I didn't rush to do as it looked good! The only problem now is I've got the screw holes to sort out

I had to take my plate holder off to fit the spoiler
I put my plate on without it and prefer it that way

Looking good matty

Im in the red tinted rear light camp though im afraid. Have you not thought about tinting them? Shame you didn't search that topic as plenty of people of bought them from german ebay cheap, including me.

Yeah I think they look better without the plate holder m44rrt

I think I got them before the cheaper German ones were available, the posts about them were after I'd already got them unfortunately :(

I've stook with my rear lights all clear on my silver roadster.
Everyone thats seen them likes them all clear and I like to be different so I'm not tinting mine. Personally I think they make the rear end look cleaner and more modern.

Yeah everyone that's seen mine (non-Z4 people) like them as they are and say not to tint them. The point of being different is a good one as the reason I got them was to make my car a bit different to other Z4s as I'm used to MINIs that can be highly personalised and have made mine very unique.

On another note I've just done the sound generator mod and taken it for a quick run down the road, I can't believe the difference it makes, it sounds awesome! :D

Looks good! Are the rear lights genuine then? As parts seem quite rare for the Z4's. I personally like them :)

Anyone tinted the whole rear lights red? Bit like the Z4M?

Thanks guys :)

Yeah the light are genuine parts. I've not seen any fully tinted red, they probably wouldn't be legal as the indicators need to shine orange. The Z4M/facelift lights have clear sections for the indicators and reversing lights.
