Update nav disk?

Got the 2007-1 DVD but keen to upgrade to latest firmware and maps.

Is this a straight upgrade to the latest disk? Anybody know what sort of price are we talking and main differences/upgrades with the latest disk?

Use nav a lot and quite keen to get 3D view and 6 fig postcode.

The £199 upgrade deal seems to have expired. Not sure what the current price is (more, that is for sure). On the OEM disks you can not get 6 digit postcode.

The 3D view is firmware, and you car already has that so it is just a case of enabling it.

Cool. So in theory, I can purchase a 2011 disk and it will need nothing more?
Thanks for 3D tip. Just searched too and seen its activated through the 'hidden menu' screen.

Ive got a 2011 disk and did not notice either. THe mapping is poor so 3D might help. Ta very much

My old disk was 2006, did the 2011 add any firmware? :?

As far as I know Chawenhalo, the disk updates all firmware to latest too.

imo its not worth it.

I went from an 07 version 2 to a 2010 disk which cost £100 with a trade in of my old.. and old roads which i hoped it would update are still there. The Derby royal hospital opened 3 or 4 years ago and my 2010 disk still has it incorrectly marked

what does the firmarware do?

My maps are all good for around here (and so are the roads )
