Has anyone with the extended lighting option fitted these and if so did you use the OEM parts or the cheaper alternatives on ebay.

Brand New Genuine BMW LED Door Logo Light Projectors

Part number 63312414105

Looks like these may be BMW parts.

I've got a box of these with the BMW logo lying around when eBay stopped me from selling them after BMW objected! LOL. They are not genuine of course but copies but a fraction of the price.

Yep they are genuine parts. The link I posted is to Cotswold BMW dealers in Hereford but there are several other dealers such as Elms in Cambridge listing them on ebay. They retail for £69.30 from BMW but you can pick them up for approximately £55 from some of the dealers. Whilst there are non OEM for around the £10 mark on ebay, I am a little sceptical hence the post.

Just wondering, but would that stop you selling them on here?

If they are "plug and play" I'd have some!

Nothing I suppose, just haven't bothered. Also shipping would be from Spain so it would cost about 5 to 10 euros on top of the cost of the lights for certified post. They are the earlier generation of these lights, the lights themselves are plug and play but the wire connection are basically two wires which you just feed into the car's original electrical connector, see the pic.

The OE BMW Logo ones look dim compared to Stuartts M Perfomance £7 jobbies
Are they brighter than they look in the pics?

@Boyo How on earth did you fit them ? The plug cable is so short ! The orginals plugs extend, but the projector's have the pins recessed :x
Torn my index finger trying to get the B*gger to plug in

Is there a trick i'm missing ? I feel like the door card will have to come out ?

Any advise appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in responding - I have been mourning the Welsh loss earlier today. To be fair the pictures I posted aren't great as I was in a reasonably well lit road and the camera on my phone is not very whizzy. They are certainly brighter than the OE puddle lights they replaced and I am more than happy with them.

Fitting was a bit fiddly but I managed to do it without removing the door card. I gently pulled the existing plug/black adaptor so that it was just outside the hole in the door card where the lights fit into. I then held it firm at the back of it where the wiring is attached using the index finger on one hand and then used my other hand to plug the new light into it. As the new projector lights have a clear plastic casing, I trained a bright light onto the finger holding the plug/black adaptor so that when I offered up the new light it was easier to line up the two pins with the plug/adaptor. Hope that helps.

I have looked at my e89 2009 door today and the only grommet I can see is a round one at the bottom of the door below the lock.Is this the one used to fit these.?

That isn't it. You can only fit these if you have door puddle lights (part of the extended lighting package). When you open the door does it light up the ground? If you look under the door you will see if there is a light these are replacements for those lights. Mine doesn't have it!
