Upcoming plan

Monday my Z4 goes in the shop for its exterior alterations...(Aero Front Bumper and paint - British racing Green) But I'm having an issue trying to figure out whats next...

I'm not a fan of the stock exhaust...there are some things that could come out and get straightened but none of the custom systems I have found pushing from the cat really make any sense
I'm not a fan of the stock air box...but nothing I have found so far really stands out as being worth the 500 some odd dollars
I know the engine is capable of so much more...but supercharging at this point would just blow a seal...who the hell makes valves, cams and pulleys for this thing?
I don't want to see the car get any lower, but new suspension could come in handy...whats suggested in terms of handling performance as opposed to smoother ride and aesthetic quality?

I'm beating my head against the wall trying to pinpoint the next step...who has a suggestion?

wow, british racing green, only the other day i was saying a z4 would look good this colour

I think the wisdom is that if you want a full power Z, you buy an M version. There's little to mod that'll make a big difference on the std car,BMW pretty well got it right at the start. They're not the sort of cars that'll see rewards from basic modding.

Well, I think I've narrowed it down, I refuse to believe that the M54B30 has peaked. After some further research...the air box doesn't need any help. Neither does the suspension. The exhaust however, with its resonators and bends is restrictive...a new exhaust and a reflash should be enough to push me closer to 270 HP. After that, my only option is forced induction. For now it looks like a new set of pipes and a tune is in my baby's future...

I'll be sure to post fotos when the paint and body work get done...should be this Friday...
