Upcoming 370Z opted for soft top!

Hmm... I like that they are sticking to the true "roadster" spirit. Of course, most convertibles look good with the top stowed... the trick is how does the 370Z look with its rags showing? And is it really cloth? The 350 had a synthetic material, no? I recall it looked awful upon close inspection and felt worse to the touch.

Looks like the 370z coupe weighs in at 3200-ish. Adding softtop is around 100 lb. 200 lb for a hardtop. The new Z4 at 3200 lb doesn't sound so heavy anymore with its hardtop.

And what's the current one weigh (non M, but with sports package) for reference purposes.

Following on from the GT-R, I think Nissan are to be applauded for producing some interesting motors. Looking at the stats, the 370Z will be a really good competitor for the Z4M, can't wait to see one at the traffic light GP :) Website certainly gets the juices flowing, nice to see petrolheads still being catered for in this tree-hugging 21st century :)
