met my cousin earlier for a swifty  we were both looking for our motors at the same time & sharing information .
however he's gone for a 58 2.0t audi TT/2 . whilst it was a consideration for me they just lack that kudos , spark & rarity of the Z4c's
. . denim blue met with light grey leather it certainly looked well in the sunshine & the seats were the height of luxury in comparison :o
i drove away content though which says it all  .

Not keen on that colour but yes those seats look very comfy!

i was seriously impressed with them , the sport seats in my Zed are the only gripe i have with the car , luckily its a weekender so no long commutes or hours behind the wheel but i drive over the channel 6/7 times a year & have to say am not sure if they are up for long distance touring ? 5 hours to ferry / break for 5 hours then another 3 hours ?

My brother had the 3.2 quattro TT. Nice looking, quick, great road holding, felt much more planted than any BMW I've driven. Felt very solid. But plagued with issues, quattro system failure, electronics, windows, engine etc... sold it in the end.. Personally though I'd have one if I found the right one backed with warranty. They're a mix of fun and practical. Look a bit bland, but then thats a good thing sometimes...

not studied the figures but being as the audi is running the golf gti 200bhp set up i can imagine it feels PDQ but hey 8) there is no substitute for cylinders :P

I was bored of the TTS after a weekend. It was all a bit lacking in soul.

Nice car but not the car for someone seeking real driving pleasure.

then i let mrs w drive back & she isn't enamoured with the ride & being "on the floor" :P
bearing in mind her all time fav car we've owned was a vw touareg

Be careful not to let her drive your Zed too much, my other half used to call my Zed the Coffin & made all sorts of complains... then she's had to borrow it quite a few times more than I'd like of late while her car has been given attention.

Insults have stopped, roof has always been down when she's turned up, been telling me to be careful with 'her car' & now she's been expressing concerns over how reliable her Corsa is... :!:

just to clarify the situation for all parties . . . . .
mrs w takes the wheel when /

a) we eat out & i drive there
b) her car is not working * which being a golf has yet to happen :)

Even this would be too often for me... I was inspecting Mrs Lozzer's wheels yesterday. I've never seen so much kerb rash in such a short space of time. I man enough to say that I nearly wept....

I think that is the crux of all Audi's, they lack that certain something that makes a great drivers car. However, the TTS has power and an abundance of grip, I'm sure you had a smile on your face at some point during that weekend......

even if was to give the keys back!

I too considered the TT before buying the ZED, I had planned to tune the car to stage 2 for around 300bhp.

BUT then I had a moment of realistation and decided a BM was the only way forward, can't be dealing with cambelts and water pumps! (which is shocking for a car of today)

About a week after buying my 08 ZED Coupe my friend bought a 2008 Audi S3 black edition (runs at 265bhp standard) and the ZED is quicker........ (best part is he paid another 5k on top of what I paid for mine and I get all the attention, drives him crazy)

I've spent a lot of time driving his car as I've sorted a few issues for him and it feels so flat compared to the power delivery of the ZED, that said if he got it remapped it would no doubt take off and leave the ZED behined but standard I'm not impressed!

Audis seem plauged with reliability issues. Mate had a TT gen 1 and had issues with engine and elecs. Another mate had an A3 which was a diesel and bloody hell the things that went wrong on that! :o

Puts me off Audis which I do like the looks of.
