Unusual beeps in the night

My Z4 30i auto 2003 plate starts beeping when the temperature hits 3.0.degrees and below. any ideas and is this normal? also on the odd occasion, usually in the middle of the night outside my caravan, the alarm goes off (in a low tone) and the indicator lights begin to flash. This can be stopped by opening the car with the fob, but when locked, it begins again? i end up leaving the car unlocked! any ideas pls!

Temp beep is standard, its to warn you your about to go sideways unless you start driving sensibly.

The alarm issue is probably a duff sensor or something playing up, think the bonnet sensor is usually the culprit and most just disconnect it.
