OK, so 8 years ago yesterday I bought my first, and so far only, BMW at just five yours old (the car not me  ) and in lovely untouched condition. Alas a fall at work two weeks earlier meant that my wrist was still hurting, so a trip to hospital saw that I had fractured it, so I couldn't drive  So one drive home after buying it and then a drive to the hospital was it for a couple of weeks :headbang:

Lots of things have changed since then, as a lot of you know, most of which is documented on my YouTube channel, although not everything 8)
So, currently, no actual intention to part company with it although I'm always thinking about what I'd replace it with and there are a small select few on the list :D So, onwards and upwards, next on the agender is a complete detail ready for my step daughters wedding in a couple of weeks (photos to come, of the car not the wedding!).

Dave good luck with waterier you decide to do. But don't leave the forum. one of the best forums anywhere and its contributors like yourself who have made it this way.
Hope wedding goes well.
Ken

Dave, what would we do without you, you've become like the Matt Armstrong of the E89 section of the forum! :worshipbmw:

Don't worry, I'm not leaving, yet anyway.
One of the options at the moment, and a "more than possible" candidate, is a G29 Z4 M40i. So if that came off then I'll defo still be here :driving: Decisions, decisions, but not for the time being, as I'm still enjoying this one :driving:

I am one of the many who has benefited from Dave’s kindness and expertise. Whatever the replacement turns out to be Dave I hope you stay on the Forum.

Dave, if its like my G29 there's nothing to add, the technology in the thing is amazing :w00t:

I took a 20i for a test drive when they first came out and loved it. So although it seemed very quick I'd defo go for the M40i, if that's the route I take.
Something that would look a lot like this....

Dave,
I've watched your videos.. multiple times. Your Zed has definitely been molested since then... especially by the deer.

Well at least your shaky start to Z4 ownership didn't put you off, even if you haven't put many miles on it!

I hope all goes well with the wedding.

Sorry, slightly misleading title there really
She started out at 27k, but I forgot to mention that she's on 117k now  So 90k in 8 years, not bad that.

Oh right. In that case you use it much more than I use mine!
