but that supercar challenge series is mostly filled with rich owner-drivers and hence there's a lot of ego at play on the track, which doesnt make for very good racing, which is why there's not many spectators...
Can't wait for DTM series to crank up this year - much more enjoyable. going to be at hockenheimring 7th may for the opening race, then maybe munich, then zandvoort and the ring later in summer. can't wait.

Shame the DTM series never gets that much coverage here. I'd happily watch that every other weekend on channel 4 rather than the F1.

I was at the Munich races last year at the Olympic Stadium and the fat sausage-eating kraut in fron of me twigged i was from the UK and enquired 'what ze hell are you doing here eengleeshman??' lol. charmed i'm sure. most others were friendly tho.

I have seen DTM racing twice 'in the flesh' at Donington Park. Once in 1993 and again in 2003. Much more entertaining back then IMO. Like a lot of race series the cars look more 'flash' and probably go much quicker but the quality of the actual racing has suffered and there is a lot less overtaking. Hence all the contrivances you mention to try and spice things up.
