Unknown warning light?

I'm looking for the meaning of a yellow triangle with a gear in it. Didn't stay lighted for more than a few seconds with a bell sound - occurred while driving - didn't reappear? Anybody know what it means? My search is dried up. Thank you

Could be low outside temp warning, or transmission. I’d guess outside temp warning. Looks like this I believe...

Well I was sceptical, but according to the God Google, the temperature in that part of California did indeed dip to around 3 degrees early yesterday morning.

As the old saying goes, RTFM

Glad for you. You got to post your favorite post again.

Thank you for your helpful posts. I did not see this one in the manual. Probably was a snowflake not a gear I saw.
No worries for me now.
Have a nice day.

Well, after all your posts making me jealous by referencing life in California, I am just grateful to you for cheering me up, knowing it can get chilly there too.

It does get cold here at times. It even snows here once every 10 years.
Mornings have been cold lately but warming enough to strip the jacket off for a few hours mid afternoon.
Not uncommon for the temperature to swing 50 degrees in 6-8 hours in the spring and fall.
We are in a small pocket of Mediterranean climate here so plenty of damp mornings in the winter months.
Yesterday's AM drive was foggy - funny the further south I went the soupier it got
Thanks again for your replies to my many questions.
Stupid snowflake looked like a gear to these old eyes in a 70 mph sweeping curve (in the fog) :)

Mate! When the fog is thick enough to get between you and the instrument panel maybe consider easing back to 65mph on that curve!!

Hee he - maybe so. Especially with the snowflake warning up
I'm looking forward to some warmer weather in the coming months for some top down driving again.

Classic

Glad you got it sorted OP, the temperature 'bong' gets me every time!

Don't know about the weather in CA , it was lovely and warm when we were there. It's the Earth quakes you can keep, we woke early one morning to find the hotel room shaking violently
