Undercarriage

I’ve been getting the car ready for the better weather recently and can’t ignore the fact that my undercarriage is not too pretty. The front end of my Zed is pretty clean having replaced or cleaned up a lot of the messy bits. The rear however hasn’t really been touched. Is it best to remove, clean and paint what I’ve got or replace? The way it looks, once I scrape off the corrosion there may be little left.
What would I start with?

I've been thinking about this for a while now, in preparation to the warmer weather, I've purchased a simple cheap pressure washer attachment that washes the undercarriage of the car, I then plan to use either bilt hamber or similar products to protect the underneath of the car. For me this seems a sensible first step to slow down that natural degradation of the car.
This is my plan, I don't know whether or not this is the best option, but for me it's a step in the right direction. I hope it helps

Just done my M today with the Kärcher under body washer attachments. Wash, rinse and then protect.

That's a fantastic attachment, mine is a cheap simple generic 4 or 5 jet bar on castors from the bay. Genuine question, can I ask what protection you've gone for? (I feel like I'm setting myself up for some very adult comments)

It was a set that came with the washer (shown in the pic, right of the pile of moss :P ) as well as an applicator unit on wheels.

I bought it as a package, with the Kärcher supplied wash and protection wax.

This is how my 911 looks, and the M is the same. Always gets compliments on the condition by the workshops

Looking good PVR! I’ve started to look into huge pros of using this https://www.lanoguard.co.uk/collections/moto/products/lanoguard-vehicle-underbody-and-chassis-care-kit?tw_source=google&tw_adid=567443503612&utm_campaign=15488323665&gadid=567443503612&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=15488323665&utm_content=130252443106&utm_term=underseal%20car&hsa_acc=4383920088&hsa_cam=15488323665&hsa_grp=130252443106&hsa_ad=567443503612&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-295038746780&hsa_kw=underseal%20car&hsa_mt=b&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8LfYkLPX_QIVQe7tCh1HzAPwEAAYASAAEgI4hvD_BwE

That is very impressive!

I bought the CHASSIS RESTORATION VALUE PACK - BLACK from Rustbusters after a lot of research (was also considering Bilt Hamber's products) as Practical Classics give them very good reviews. I pressure washed the underside of my car and applied the kit in stages, having protected the driveway with some cheap plastic sheeting that I bought from Toolstation.

I've always used Krown on my truck, it's the stuff the Canadian military uses on all its equipment apparently, and they salt the heck out of their roads over there. It never dries, so never flakes off, and cannot let water get in underneath it. It 'creeps', stays fluid, and reaches all corners and crevices. It also self heels if scratched, keeping oxygen away from surface metal, and is non-toxic.

There's a place in the Midlands where they professional apply it, pretty good value from memory.
