Underbody Treatment today!!

So today I got this beautiful beast up in the air and some totally unnecessary rust prevention, the previous owners on this forum took crazy good care of it but I have car OCD so wanted to get it in the air and paint hammerite Kurust on anything remotely brown (it wasn't much) lads there couldn't believe it was a 57 plate! I was shocked myself to be fair so dusted it down then gave it a generous coat of lanoguard.

It's never going to get driven in the rain anyway but being a sad tragic kinda guy I just wants to belt and braces the underside and the arches for the future.

To be totally honest it was already like that! It's immaculate underneath, just a bit of hammerite rust cure on any bits that were coming through (that was minimal) then the lanoguard.

My advice for the lanoguard it keeps it off hot metal parts because it smells of sheep when it's sitting and hot.
Will get lessen the more it burns off had same think with a Japanese import I did a few years ago.
Take a week or two

Gave my coupe a undebody clean last year, for some reason a very satisfying thing to do. Should treat the small things I found during this summer…

It's really satisfying lol

I'll try and avoid rain and salt roads in my ownership so it won't be aging any further in my ownership.
I also noticed my arches are PERFECT so I've pressed grease between the arch liner and wing metal.

Liquid grease first then thick grease from the same manufacturer as the underbody seal.
Then wiped it all flush and left a thin layer on the arch lip.
So it's now all fully sealed and coated.
The nice thing about this heat is it melts it a bit so it leaks and drips to other knooks and crannies which is good.
I'm gonna make sure this car lasts till 2085 lol

This is correct and it also depends on how you use the vehicle.

I'll be driving it a few days a week when it's nice.
It should last a good 2 or three years as it's just going to be stored in the garage and do a few K a year.

Also lanoguard only takes 30 mins to apply.
It's really easy to spray on.

Plus it's clear so you can see what's there.
I'd never use something coloured like the TVR boys use lol
