under bonnet light

hi anyone know if there should be a light in the engine compartment ? can see a switch in the centre, unless thats a warning light switch if the lid is not latched, maybe staring me in the face but if it is, it aint lit. thanks.

Isn't that the alarm (bonnet sensor)? No lights in my engine compartment.

markeg is right. only switch under the bonnet is for the alarm

Bit odd to think that an Audi from the eighties had this light and we still don't have anything ...

We must have one near the roof motors then

That's why my car came with extended lighting along the side of the car, to allow me to check for 296 wheel cracks on entry.

C'mon pvr, they're green neon.. And they flash to match the bass from my 4x12" subs in the boot.. Sheesh get with it
