Unbolting 108 wheels, ready for refurb

Hi All

Have just had a chat with my local friendly alloy wheel refurb shop (2 villages away) who has said that sometimes the bolts can be a right pain when undoing BBS split-rim wheels.

Anyone have any good/bad experience of splitting the rims of the BMW 108 style, in prep for a refurb or for any other reason?

Don't get me wrong, he would split them for me, just costs a lot more.
