Looks like a proper speedster... :driving:
Mazda has had a number of these concept cars like this that have never come to production... :(
 
Before buying my first BMW, I had a Ford Probe GT (Mazda MX6 drivetrain). LOVED that car. It would m-o-v-e and handled great. Unfortunately, a drunk driver killed her before her time. :(
 
The weight saving over a regular MX5 barely makes the Superlight concept worth the effort/compromise IMO.

Love the look of the MX5 - this concept AND the recently facelifted version of the standard car.
 
I like it! It looks a little Alpha like to me. I'm a fan of humps and bumps, guess that's why I bought a Z. Alway's liked the RX8 too because of the fender flares and low slung shape. It's nice to see sports cars pressing each other for design and performance, especially so you don't need to be rich or childless to own a nice one.

A Ford Probe was the first totally new car I bought! Was a good car, although it didn't sell too well in the UK. That V6 was a nice motor! I had the feeling that the engine was the same as the Mazda's also. :thumbsup:

That little engine would spool up pronto! Only downside was the Ford TFI. Replaced that TWICE :thumbsdown:

Mine was Calypso Green with black/grey cloth sport seats (very much like the M seats in my Z) :driving:
 
Bet it's like the standard car in so far that anyone over 5' and a fagbutt won't fit in it.


I heard of a bloke at work a few years back that was hauled in front of HR to answer as to why he was looking at porn on his company laptop,

he was actually looking for parts for his PROBE. :D

I hesitated to pick up on the FIRST admission to ownership of a Probe, but with TWO now in the open this is fast turning into a mass outing! LOL :D
