^ good point, and for what it costs, no-brainer. It's actually an easy DIY too, even if you only just drained the radiator I'm sure it would be better than nothing.

The water pump failures are not mechanical though, it’s the electonics inside the pump that die.

Are they though? Isn't the code often 'implausible pump speed' or something similar?
