ultimate exhaust for the Z4M?

I've also seen pics of the Meistershaft exhausts. These look good too, about £1,500 I think for back boxes. Anyone got them??

I`ve been thinking about Rogue Engineering MZ4 Diablo cans for mine, anyone have any experience? Rick, Where did you get your wheels?

The Diablo sounds nice if nothing special in the clip I found. About £1,300 for back boxes only. The Hayward & Scott system seems best value, I think you can get cat back for less than £1,000.

I was talking to the guy who fabricated the straght through system for my car. I was thinking of changing the back boxes. He's been building exhausts for years but like most of his ilk will always tell you that a straight through system is better for MPG & BHP than OEM.

Currently the system I have fitted is cat back, resonator deleted, straight through to back boxes with one entrance one exit then a split chrome finisher.( to give the four pipe look) I fancied a more traditional style one pipe in two out box at the rear, as OEM, H & S,Supersprint, Diablo et al. I also fancied just a little more noise :)

He said in his opinion a 'one in two out box' was more restrictive than a straight through system because the exhaust had to split into two inside the rear box creating back pressure and a loss of power. Also if I used the same boxes as I have now I would reduce noise (not good). I don't pretend to understand the science of why exhausts do what they do and there seems to be a great deal of rubbish written about them.

I may just find a H & S system 2nd hand or order one new.

The Diablo exhaust is $1195 plus transport, bit of a bargain I`d say.

The Diablo seems to have a good reputation on the other side of the pond but don't know anyone in the Uk with one (yet)

If you're happy with back boxes have a look at Eisenmann...

If you have a look at the web site they have videos (Race spec), the E92 M3 is great! Stay away from the R8.

Mine is on order! They do an M system but there's no pics / videos on the site.

I did speak to the factory in Germany (tried the uK and never got back) and they were very helpful, one thing they did say was on the spec, there's really 2 to look at:
1. Race - loud and not advised if you do long journeys
2. Sport - burbles more at low revs and then gets more raucous as you press on (I've gone for this one)

If you look at the link Breaker posted here:

In the article they briefly mention the Sport system.
