I couldnt find a forum thread for this event. Anyone going ?
This is fairly local to me so I will plan to pop along for a nosey.

I went last year and it was good apart from the m3/4 display where they were bouncing the car off the red limiter for most of the day, got annoying really quickly.

Shame right next to them was the 3.0 CSL and CSI stand.

I didn't go on the car club display for some reason and ended up on top of the hill.

Your space on the hill looks better than down in the mosh pit, to be honest. Room to stretch out.

I read about that M3/4 guy on another forum, too.
Wasnt this also the show where a guy fell out the rear of an M4 convertible, while leaving the show?

How does exhibitor entry work, you're required to be a member of any random forum/club/facebook group to get an allocated space within their allocated area?
Gaydon already have these groups and their areas defined?

It wasn't one it was a big group. All young lads without much mechanical sympathy. I think it caused a bit of an issue so hopefully they will stamp it out. Was the only bad thing about it otherwise the shear number of cars and models was amazing.

You can get in to exhibit with a standard ticked but if you part of a specific group that has a pitch you usual get in touch with them. BMW car club was there which im a member of but didn't realise so just went on the hill but there were zones with all the different models in their own areas which was a better place to be.

Quite a few of the members from here were there and caught up with them I think all went in under the car club but there are others like members of Zpost etc

There is a group of us going .
[ref]LukeBlanks[/ref], is dealing with the list . He arranged it through a Facebook group z4 events uk. Maybe fire him a pm and see if he has any spaces left . Think there's about 35 zeds on the list

I've spoken to Luke and I'm on the stand. Whoop whoop.

Who from here is going?
Start a list?

I sent Luke a PM on Wednesday but he hasn't read it yet!

I'm not on Facebook (and don't want to be) so was wondering if anyone knows how to contact him?

TIA.

Let me message him to see if there's a spot..

I have messaged Luke to see if there are any spaces also, he did seem to say it was full but he was trying to secure further spaces so will see what he says. I may just go as a visitor if not.

There's talk of a Z3/4 pre-show meet occuring at the Welcome Break on the M40, just north or Gaydon. (there's a group staying there the night before)

There's a loose plan to try and get cars to enter the show in generation groups, meeting before-hand will help as cars cannot be shuffled around easily once at the venue, apparently.

It may be easier to herd cats, though so we'll probably just end up in whatever order.

Having attended last year I’ll wait for the ZedFest ‘24 in whatever guise it pops up. And fit in a local classic rally or two. Gaydon is excellent and the variety of BMW was terrific - including a Z8 thank the Lord - but only a few other Zeds (it was great to meet up with a few of you too). Good luck herding those cats. Enjoy your day.

I'm still undecided about going, but it's been a good 20 years since l visited the museum so kinds tempted, but my question was.......does anyone know if you can just turn up on the day or is it one of these pre booked on line ticket entry things? ( l like acting on the spur of the moment and not really into booking n planning months before.......unless its Le Mans , :)

All the places on the Z4 display stand were taken a while ago but if you aren't bothered about that you can just turn up on the day and use the general car park, which is what I did in 2022.
