So my 06 3.0si went in for an Oil Service today (it’s actually still there - BMW Sunningdale) and the service advisor called me to provide an update.
When the car went in, I advised on 4 things which needed attention under warranty
1) Rattle from door speaker when phone rings
2) Rattling OEM wind deflector insert in passenger Roll Hoop
3) Intermittent starting issue - usually when cold, id go to start the car and it would turn but not start. I would turn the key back to position 0 and start again and it would fire up 100%
4) Heater did feel warm until you cranked it up past 23/24 degrees on the dial
So the guy calls me back (very pleasant and provides the following update on the above
1) They are investigating this more
2) New bits ordered from Germany for replacement. This is interesting as it was refused before - even from Modial when i wrote to them
3 and 4 - they advised that there was a new Software Update available for my car and that they were going to start applying it now but it could take a few hours so they may need to keep the car overnight.
I found this strange as if there was a new version of our cars s/w it would have made it on this forum - but I don’t think anything of that nature has - has it?
Anyway - just thought id post up here and let you all know - will update you once I have the car back!
