UK - Axxis Deluxe pads

Hi

Has anyone fitted Axxis Deluxe pads to their Z in the UK onto standard OEM discs?
If so, how are they working out?
Where did you buy from?

Cheers
Jamie

I looked into gettting these pads earlier in the year and gave up trying to find info on them. In the end I went for EBC redstuffs with standards discs. Brilliant set up that I am very had with and a big improvement on stock.

I got them from Zeckhausen direct.

I also got a set for my X5 which I installed a while back now. No more dust, great. Bit squeeky though.

whist the no dust thing was flipping great, the stopping power wasn't nearly as good as OEM on fast road use - if you're not going to push them, they're great. I also think that they contributed to warping my disks after 10K miles of abuse.

This is EXACTLY what im worried about

I had a similar experience in my e36 with EBC green stuff and standard discs

If this is what happens, im staying WELL clear!

Looking at the specs of the Axxis, they should not contribute to any warping as they are no where near as hard as the EBC green.

Are you planning to track the car? If not, I would stick with Axxis. I already have a spare set ready for my M when I need new pads on that.

No tracking involved whatsoever!
Where did u buy yours?

Zeckhausen :D

Works out very cheap to be honest. Replacement is a simple DIY job which takes just over an hour.

I've used them on my X5 with Brembo rotors for 2 years and they are excellent. They can stop 2 tons of car and 2 tones of trailer and hold it down Alpine passes with ease. Good enough for me.

All this fast road pad is IMHO pointless on road cars, as the downside of poor stopping when cold, squealing and and rotor wear, outweighs the benefits of the odd time when you drive like you're on track. Just my opinion of course.

I think Axxis deluxe are a good low dust , silent quality pad. Going on my Z4 when it needs them

EBC red's, brilliant for slow road, fast road and track..

Yep. couldn;t agree more. Good from cold, better when they have some heat in them.

I've cained mine and still no warped discs after 3 months and about 6K miles.
