UK - 2008 Z4 Coupe - Carbon Black

Hi All,

It's a sad first post from me, I've decided to sell my 08 Z4 Coupe as it's just not getting used in the way I'd hoped and I'm not really going to have time to use it for 12-18 months min. A friend suggested I posted the add up here (it's already on Pistonheads), so I hope nobody minds me joining up to post this, but it did make sense to try and make sure it goes to a good home.

I spent a long time looking for a Z4 Coupe and this was the only one around that was in the spec I wanted, which was Carbon Black with Nav and Heated seats. I bought the car last last November from the original owner who spec'd the car new.

The car is in good condition but it does have a few small scratches and stone chips and some wear on the drivers seat, I would say it's in great condition for a car that's done 93,000 miles.

I'm looking for £9k or somewhere close which I think is fair / cheap based on the other adds I've see and the year / spec of mine, but would be interested to see if people think it's too low or high!

Main details of the car:
- Carbon Black (416)
- Silverstone / Anthracite Bi-Colour Leather (NBC5)
- Style 108 wheels (350)
- 1 Previous keeper (2 including me)
- Full BMW service history (condition based) EDIT: See later posts for details, next service isn't due for at least 12 months / 16k miles.

Options including the following, I think these are all the major ones, some may be standard for all UK Coupes:
- Professional Sat-Nav (609) with 2016 Maps DVD
- Voice Control (620)
- Enhanced Bluetooth (633)
- Comfort Package (Z4P)
- Electric Folding Exterior Mirrors (313)
- Heated Seats (494)
- Xenon Headlights (522)
- Model Designation Deletion (320)
- Electric Memory Seats (459)
- Auto dimming rear view mirror (431)
- Rear Parking Sensors (508)
- Rain Sensor (521)

Hopefully this pic will work:

I'm based in Reading and any questions please let me know.

Cheers,

Nice looking Z4C.. Albeit : Average miles, average condition - with the drivers seat bolster wear, apparent too..

Think I'd have the service done, that's due quite imminently however - and out of interest, when's the MoT due?

Worth adding, when it's been serviced and by who too - to woo potential buyers maybe?

GLWTS..

Thanks for your feedback.

Service history is all at the supplying BMW main dealer from memory but I'll check, the car had the BMW warranty until April 2016 and from my discussions with the original owner it didn't really go anywhere else.

I guess I should mention that after I bought it I had the wheel alignment checked / adjusted to be sure it was right, I've also checked for error codes and had the car on the dyno to check all is well. There were no error codes at all when I last checked and the rolling road didn't pick up any issues either.

If I keep the car, the service is probably another 6 months away if not longer, so I'll wait and see if anyone wants it first. MOT is due 7-Sep-16.

The bolster wear is there on the very front, but the rest of the interior isn't really showing it's age / mileage to me.

Does anyone else have any feedback as I'm genuinely interested if people feel the car is over priced or other things they think should be added details wise? I've found it interesting looking at the other adds, people seem to try and avoid taking pics that actually show the seats on cars with over about 50k miles, I don't see the point as surely that's the first question people ask, it was the main thing that I was aware of on the cars when I was looking last year.

I've spoken to the original owner and the supplying BMW dealer (as there was a stamp missing from the book) and all the servicing was completed at the original dealer, and the fully comprehensive BMW extended warranty had been kept going until April 2016. There was one interesting / annoying thing I found out which is they appear to have done the inspection 1 instead of the inspection 2 at 77,187 miles. The only difference I can see is that the inspection 2 should have also included a spark plug and the renew of the air cleaner element and it's only the spark plugs that don't appear to have been done. Knowing the date of the last service that actually means the service is due now.

EDIT: Car has a new MOT pass from yesterday with no advisories, added to the history below. Will also be getting the car serviced this week so it'll have a full BMW service history. Will likely keep the car now, but also keep it advertised in case anyone is genuinely interested.

OP, keeping it may be the best decision you ever made!

I replied to a post on here from someone looking for a Coupe and next thing I knew he had viewed it and put a deposit on it!

Cue 4 days fretting over my foolishness until I went to look at the next Coupe! It ticked virtually all the boxes so a deposit was left!

Phew - 1st one was collected on 8 May and replacement was picked up on 10 May!

Yours does look great (especially the 2-tone seats), has full main agent SH and only 2 owners plus most of the extras, but if you haven't had too many responses price is probably the only area you can look at - but then with most people on holiday now is probably not the best time of year to be selling.

Good luck!

This might sound silly (and forgive me if I'm missing the obvious), but I can't find anywhere in your listing, posts, or Flickr pics, what model it is. The only giveaway is the dyno results make me believe it's a 3.0Si? If not, tell me how I can get figures like that from my 2.5Si
It's a lovely looking coupe - good luck with the sale

In the UK we only have the 3.0si or the M in the coupe shape. One has a single exit exhaust one is twin. Some other subtle bodywork changes between the two.

Aha - it was obvious :headbang: . Of course the coupe only came out as 3.0Si or M.
I shall hand in my Z4 owner's badge at reception as I leave

Thanks for your replies, price is an interesting one, maybe I do need to reduce it, I had an offer and it wasn't a million miles away from what I'd have been willing to accept but didn't hear back, may lower the advert price but I guess the 'I'm in no rush to sell' is kicking in more and more. Guess if it's staying I may need to figure out a few of the questions I had like has anyone managed to re-locate the AUX in / can I also have a CD auto changer at the same time as the NAV and AUX in.

Small updates since the above, had a full inspection 2 done and the brake fluid change today, so hopefully that would re-assure anyone thinking I was just trying to get rid prior to scary bills. It's also had new BMW discs and pads at the Front as I was annoyed with the state of the discs. Will post up the docs to flickr when I find 2secs.
