Uig,Mallaig,Skye run, SUNDAY,August 14th,2022.

Hi Craig. Just checked my diary and I have a long weekend off from 13th to the 17th so this run is a do'er for Lydia and I. Will try and sort out some accommodation for the evening of the 13th in Inverness and possibly the 14th too so, if accommodation available, we'll be definites for this. I'll get back to you ASAP and let you know.

No worries,James.
Plan was Originally a weekend/overnight,bit now doing it as a One day run, which I updated on the first post, the other week.

So accomodation is only optional.
Will get onto finalising this one, Once the NC500

Will be in touch mate

Hi Craig

Now you have planned this trip for a single day from Paisley, is this straight to the ferry to the Isle of Skye, or are you still planning to go drive through Inverness?

Just checking if it's doable for me, time fuel, cost etc

I'm rather snapped 😆

Cheers
John

Plan is now to go from Paisley, straight upto Mallaig, and yes,as a one day, back down on the excellent Mallaig road,as it's so good both ways, and saves time and money for Ferries.

Will get onto this and the September meet asap, now the National has been.
Speak soon mate

Hi Craig. Where do you want us to meet you? We'll be heading over from Fife. Give me a shout when you sort out the final route and we'll arrange to meet you en route.

I know Craig, just got the names mixed up.
Brain freeze obviously,as I've only worked up in that area for over 17 years, haha

And those coming will be sent the Exact postcode,
Used it many times for meet points,so those attending(majority of them)actually know where I mean, haha....
But Thanks for correcting me on it

Just a last minute, wee reminder for anyoywho might want to join us,and enjoy some cracking roads, and what looks like cracking weather,if we can avoid the potential Thunder storm late afternoon,it's expected to be between 21 &27 c tomorrow on our route :driving:

Just a few photos that I took on the day. Unfortunately, I was enjoying myself far to much and forgot to take more

Hi. Likewise I took so few photos as the drive was amazing. Those roads!!! Lydia took quite a few and I think I might have some dashcam footage. Unfortunately, we had to put Rocky, our big Akita, to sleep on Tuesday morning so things are a bit solemn in our house just now but I'll sort out photos etc at the weekend and put them up. Thanks again Craig for organising the run. It was good to see you all..... We really enjoyed the day..
