i have this nasty ass shite on my car when i finish washing it. it disappears when i wax that ass, though.

but when i give it a regular wash, i see this crap!

how do i get rid of it?

You need to dry the car! If you just wash it, the water dries on the car, and you get this effect.

There is that point, do you dry the car?

Have you had much rain where your from recently?

Reason I ask is all this ash cloud nonsense that has happened of late has sent plenty of grimey crud in the air and caused etchings on quite a lot of cars, simple washing and claying doesnt budge it, only effective method iirc is machine polishing.

i dry it with a huge ass drying cloth. and i make sure to dry it in the shade, as well.

Agree with others this is due to residue in the water normally associated with a 'hard water' area (lots of calcium in the water). I had the same problem but thoroughly cleaned the paint and now use an inline filter in the hose pipe for the final rinse - problem solved.

There are also products on the market that break down the calcium deposits left from water spotting.

Chemical guys and duragloss both have a water spot remover, both are effective and not too expensive.

How can a drying cloth have a "huge ass"? or are they like girls and have asses that change size with use and age?

Might have to look for one of these - water's pretty hard here

You need to dry the car ASAP if the sunlight is strong. I used AG chamois leather on the old Zed, but now use Serious Performance drying towel.

after washing the car with shampoo, you should rinse it with the nozzle removed from the hose, so you get a big & wide stream of water.
This wider stream ensures most of the water gets streamed of the car due to the waters cohesion.

after this you can dry off the rest of the water using a waffle weave cloth + use a quick detailer (like poorboys or another brand)

The quick detailer makes the paintwork water resistant and you can see the water literally stream off the the car whilst spraying it on the cars body.
The waffle weave cloth is very soft and super absorbant, when you do it right, you can dry off the entire car without wringing out the cloth even once!

another remark: never wash your car in the direct sunlight. otherwise the car is drying way too fast and the water stains get "burned" immediately onto the paintwork.
