So, my CF roundels replacement session didn't go quite to plan just now; nipped home at lunchtime to swap them all over.
Looked OK I figured. Roof down, had a quick blast with a colleague and what happens at about 70mph in second..? Yup - roundel flew off over our heads about 40 feet in the air and span off somewhere off the A272...
After half an hour of scouring the verges thinking every can was it, I gave up. Bugger. Another email to [email protected] is in order...
I guess rushing "simple" jobs is a bad idea... lesson learnt.
- Boot lid; no problem.
- Wheel centres; tight fit with domed replacements sandwiched in plastic caps but OK.
- Steering wheel; how the hell do you get the old one out..?! There seems to be 3 tabs at 2, 6 and 10 o'clock that are pressed into the foam..?
- Front; took kidney grill out to see what was holding original on and managed to get that off OK but decided to go against *everyone's* advice and not trim any off new 73mm replacement and tried to just silicone it in place.
- Side repeaters; time was ticking so decided to leave that till tomorrow...
