What’s the general consensus on best tyres for the M? Need some new rears...

It’s currently on OEM Contis.

Im using PS4s' and they're great. only available in 19"+ though.

If you're running smaller i would recommend the PS4's

Tried many brands, been a Michelin man for the last 7 years... expensive but impressive in grip & wear.

Mrs said the 225 SuperSports in the wet we used to run on a past AUDI were like driving in the dry., though felt were almost dangerous if ever used below 7 degrees C

Right now i doubt the Ps4 4s can be bettered but if you don't want to spend that much on my MR i have also tried out & liked Vred Vorti , Conti 5 & Conti 6 .
Wasnt WoWed with Hankooks though  i think the Evo2 are a step backwards from the previous Ventus V12

Thanks guys. I think I’m going for PS4s.

Just noticed a screw in the right front tyre, too :( too close to the sidewall so looks like a whole set of 4 tyres now required. Wonderful! Oh well - an excuse not to sell up anytime soon.

If those really are the OEM model contis then that’s going to be a massive difference. 3-4 generations old now.

The Contis I had on mine were truly awful, it's a night and day difference with the Michelin Super Sports.

Now here's a thing :| been a while since i had any MPsupersports on any Z but yesterday i fitted a fresh set of wheels with 7.5mm rears & 5mm fronts ( all MPSS under 4 yr old ) way after the oil had warmed in the M these were still twitching on cold damp leafy tarmac with tc light flickering if i gassed it hard in 2nd & 3rd whereas the Conti 5 on my other set of Vees grip great from the off :?
The MPSS need some real heat putting through them to feel "grippy" & inspire any confidence .
A set of 18inch PS4 (not 4s) i had on the car over summer were noticeably better in my mind

I run Bridgestones, not through choice they came with the car and are brand new. I have to say despite the bad reviews I have found the potenza tyres to be great. Just enough slip to have some fun also great in the rain which is a bonus .

I'm running Goodyear F1s, I've ran them on a few cars and I think they give great grip on the hot dry days and the cold wet days too!
