Hi All
New to this forum,just bought a 2.5 2003 Z4

Few questions

Has the run flats on that are rock sold...going to change to Toyos that i had on my TVR Chimaera, whats the largest tyre i can get away with to fill the arches please

When driving her home, steering was good, but every time i turned from steering wheel centre,it felt like it sat in a small notch and need a tiny bit extra to take it out of it,which as you can imagine is not right and very strange....quick fix or oops don't want to hear that

Any upgrade on the throttle response at low revs

Any feedback much appreciated thankyou

Hi op I would suggest spacers and lowering springs rather than bigger tyres all depending on what wheels and size you are running also look at your geometry

She sits on the factory 16’ all round
What size spacers can you get away with because that would help with the look immensely

Where did you get the exhaust from

Since your tyres are shot, I'd consider 18" or even 17" as an upgrade. Should be plenty on the market with good rubber as well. You seen the buy and sell section? Spacers? Generally 20mm rear and 10mm front will do you. 15mm on the fronts some report rubbing.

Steering not sure. But worth checking your DISA valve and also getting your vanos seals replaced... this should help with performance and your low level revs you mentioned.

Throw out the bottle caps and get some nice 18s on her :poke:
With a better offset so you don't need spacers ideally

worth considering upgrading I think? :fuelfire:

If by Toyo you mean T1R, I wouldn’t bother. They aren’t bad but they are very much budget tyres. They work in my MX5 but I wouldn’t dream of putting them on my Z4. Better to get some decent rubber on there.

Noted what about the size

If you have 8j tyres all around it might be worth a 215/45/18
Or
235/40/18
I think 225/45/18 gives a higher speed reading (although I might be wrong, I haven't tried)

Oh sorry man, the equivalent but on 17 inch wheels
215/50/17 or 235/45/17. Maybe even 225/50/17 but the latter might give the wrong speed reading :)

Try on this site, you can get away with up to 10% change I think?

Where will I find the off set Mark on the inner side?

Offset of the wheel? Normally stamped in the inside face of one of the spokes (so the bit you can’t see)

Will say ET or IS and then a number.

Check this one out mate
