Got my 'new to me' 224s and Vred tyres today and I'm very pleased with them but daft as I may be I can't figure which one goes where!

Is this correct?

or this?

both photos are of the same rim and tyre. the first shows it as a drivers side car (UK), the second passengers side.

theres no marks the tyres about direction of rotation. Obviously I know which goes at the front and which at the back.

thanks

done that, in the top photo 'outside' is to the right, in the bottom 'outside' is to the left

ps thanks for the head up on these

To best of my memory as I haven't had Sessantas for a good while you should fit all wheels with rain channel closest to centre of car so in your pics the bottom would be correct

thanks, sort of what I thought but no confirmation from their website

helps a lots thanks, they are super.

interesting that the treads sit of the car opposite ways round on each side. One looks to face forward and the other faces back

must be right though and once again they look great

They will look even better on the car 224s just work so well for non M Zs
As for the other set ? If the tyres are good & sizes are right you would probably draw more by splitting the set & selling as 4 alloys , 2 front tyres & 2 rear tyres but for the extra £50-£80 overall is it worth the hassle ?
The 18inch Schnitzer wheels may be reps & may not be everyone's choice but they should sell easy around £400 if tyres are good

Bluespit and wilksy correct ofc - 'Outside' indication for these to determine wheel mounting, making them an excellent 'rotational' tyre for a square setup.
Have had a few sets of these over the years for my Holland-based cars and I think theyre awesome. Very grippy but still progressive when the back end starts to lose traction under accelleration and cornering.
Great in the wet too due to that unique tread pattern and also comfortably quiet.
But ABSOLUTELY diabolical in snow and ice lol.
That's where winter tyres come in tho.

That was my first concern too but was advised that the asymmetry of the tread pattern wouldnt make a difference in the wet, and happily i experienced it didnt.

thanks all for the above - no chance of them seeing ice or snow. We have an X3 for that.

found that pic but the tread direction threw me.

anyway they're on now,

Used these tyres on a 3.0 E85 and 3.0 tdi A4 Quattro. - top marks from me!
I would certainly use them again - they are better than the "budget" tyre that people call them !
