tyres - Thinking of trying these

I've heard the TVR boys and other performance car owners fitting the FALKEN FK452 tyre and wondered if anyone had tried them?

Have you searched Falken 452 on the Forum?? There are many threads on them and many owners have changed to them, including recently myself.

Read some of the threads for a swathe of reviews and opinions

I have the Goodyear F1 asymmetric tyres on my MC, fab tyres. I have had ps2's in the past and would rate these has good!

I have 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 on my car. Cannot praise them enough. Miles better than the OEM Contis and almost as good as the PS2s.

Stunning grip in the dry in a straight line and very progressive and informative in the corners. Soft sidewalls, so be careful when you park. ADAC - the German RAC - consistently rates them as the top performer in their wet tests. Drove through Switzerland and France around the Mt Blanc area in 3" of snow and the verdict was not that good  , but still got to Chamonix at the end.

Wear rate - I get about 10k from the rears and about 15k from the fronts. Once you factor in the price, then they are very hard to beat. Car will happily do a very low 8min lap of the Ring on these...

Cheburator are these the Falkens you have fitted in those sizes?

Yes, I have Falken FK452 in 265/35/18 on the rears and 235/40/18 on the fronts of my Z4MC

Sadly, Falken don't do the original BMW size, which is crap anyway, as you can never have too much rubber on a car. The extra 1cm of width is more than welcome, particularly upfront...
