I know this subject had been covered many times however I need some advice.

I have Bridgestone Potenza tyres on my Z4MR how do I tell if these are run flats or not and should you have run flats on a Z4M? I know they were not standard.

This leads onto....

This afternoon noticed one tyre was low but I had no warning lights on the dash. I have since put more air in (38psi) and immediately after this the tyre light come on. I don't really understand this, if anyone can shed some light on this it would be appreciated.

Does this mean I have a puncture??

Shouldn't be run flats as you say. Will be indicated on the side walls.

Pressure wise should only be around 32ish. You will need to rest the tyre pressure system after checking the pressure. Always a good idea to do this regardless of warning lights or not.
 
How do you reset the tyre pressure system?

The book recommends 34psi front and 39psi rear is this not ok? (It's the rear that was deflated).

Which book exactly would that be ?? :!: :!:

30front / 32 rear is what you should be looking for.

As for the tyre warning lights and reset procedure, read the manual and all will be explained.
 
On tyre it'll have RFT on it
And shouldn't be on an M nasty things esp is get a puncture as can weld to rim of wheel
Plus bad handling due to rigidity of side wall
Press and hold tyre pressure button
As had to do mine after changing wheels :)
Ref pressures pop springs to mind
 
If you have put more Air in one side than the other. Then the light will come on when you roll the wheels. :? The sensors measure rotation not presure. A bit of maths tells us more Air means larger diameter means greater circumference. So you can gauge the tyre presure delta from a diference in rotation speed between the two sides.Simples. :wink:
