Tyres for Style 224 Alloys on non M

I have an 3.0Si and I have got a nice set of 224 style M alloys which I am going to get refurbed for the spring by The Wheel Specialist in Edinburgh http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/ in a couple of weeks time. At the same time they will fit my tyres onto the new rims, so looking to save a few squid on fitting, so far so good. I have decided to ditch the run flats and am going for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2. I am keeping to the following sizes, fronts 225/40/R18 and rears 255/35/R18

However before I order I want to check that it is okay to fit these extra load ones front 92Y XL and rear 94Y XL or if there would be a problem.

Thanks :)

No problem at all with the load rating, unless your carrying a couple of tons of sand in your boot :D

Please let me know what the goodyears feel like on the 224's
Will do once they get fitted in the spring. I have been reading quite afew reviews which all seem positive, and the wear which was a concern to me doesn't look bad either, considering the tyre is made of a softer rubber. Only time will tell I guess.

I had them fitted to my Zed, they are very good indeed and will be fitting them to the Merc eventually, need something really sticky with 457 lb/ft of torque and the Conti sports 3's are not cutting the mustard

I have read that once the Goodyears get warmed up they get stcky and grippy on the road. :)

They are rated an impressive all rounder that are deal for all conditions which got my interest.
