Hello :D

Anybody got any recommendations for tyre fitting places in or around Gravesend, Kent ?

Thanks,

:D

I just got the dealer to do it, same price as any other place.

Bit far from home isn't it?
That is true dat :D

mr & mrs gannet in-law live there and is where the car is currently - to avoid any builder 'accidents' :D

if no recommendations I will arrange to have them changed round the corner etc...

There is a nice small garage on the back of me, that does a nice job and very carefull, but they are in Aylesford, about 20 minutes from Gravesend I guess.

EDIT; if you are interested I will dig there phone number out

actually event tyres are coming out the cheapest so far :o

£237 each for the rears.

hmm, something to think about - never used mobile services before. Anybody else used them?

Strood tyres are quite good. Give them your best price, and they will try and beat it. They are behind the Tesco store on the oneway system.

Just your luck TBH. I use a one-man mobile fitter but only because I know his background and that he's had 20+ years experience of tyre fitting. He removed 18" low-profile runflats from my 108s without a single swear word, which impressed me no end :D

My worry about the likes of Event tyres is that you've got no idea on the quality of the fitter.

Farningham tyres are pretty good, in farningham (:)), not far from gravesend.
Dartford tyres too, burnham road, dartford (end of bob dunn way/university way).
Never trusted kwakfit at lion garage....up to you though!.

Same problem with any other tyre place. The guy that does this area of Kent for Event Mobile is great. He's done at least 8 tyres on cars at work and everyone's happy. I've seen 2 or 3 other fitters with the same company, and have nothing but praise for them.
