tyre wear

Replaced rear tyres approx 3500 miles ago with Michelin PS2's... other than a few small donuts they've had normal 'enthusiastic driving'.

MOT'd car and rear springs broekn and so replaced - camber and suspension tracking all straightened out on latest lazer machine - but recently my tyre pressure warning light came on... on closer inspection tyres are like slicks on the inside - could previous/new geometry of suspension caused this before/after springs replaced ?

Also i noticed the cheeky bleeder tyre place nicked my metal dust caps and replaced with plastic ones !

Sounds like problem prior to MOT, should be ok now if geometry fixed etc

Doubt the tyre place 'nicked' them. they just cut the old valves off bin them and fit new. Doubt they even looked.

I'd watch the new tyres and feel for any feathering on the block edges of the inner edge of the tyre. You'll see in a hundred miles if you still have a problem

Was the geometry set up by a monkey?? did they adjust camber also??
Having said that though if your spring was broken for however long you have had the tyres geometry could have been miles out and 3.5 k is plenty to scrub a set of rear tyres on wrong geometry.
