Tyre valves

Hi, I've just bought a 2003 3.0 Litre Z4. I'm loving it. Hallo to everyone!

And, here's my first numptie question...

Trying to get the footpump on the tyre valve it seems the valve doesn't stick out enough from the (18 inch) wheels. Does it need an adaptor? Is there some other solution. Or, am I just being an idiot and should give it another try?

Hi and welcome,i've 18" 108's with the shortest tyre valves there is and have no problems and don't need an adaptor
And may i be the first to present you with this :worthless: we need pics of your zed

hello and welcome.

My car came with 108's with the same short valves which i think is so they blend in more with the other bolts.... Its a tight fit, but i managed to use the petrol station air.

Thanks Aquazi, I think you've confirmed what I've been thinking. They don't need adaptors, they're not wrong, the problem, if there is one, lies with my footpump. I'll try a few other devices, pressure gauges and the like. Once again, thanks, it's appreciated.

hi zippy, excellent name hehe :D

Blame my missus, she insisted I name the car. It was the first thing that sprung to mind, given it begins with Z. Well, and it gives me a cheesy grin! :D
