Tyre 'slip'-on full lock?

Thanks mmm-five,its happened a few times reversing into my garage on pretty smooth concrete
Just to clarify, mine doesn't do it unless I'm being silly on a wet car park.

Hi all-has anyone felt their tyres 'slip' when reversing on full lock?

Yep mine the same, more so when turning right. My tyres need replacing tho, not much tred left on the inside edge of my front tyres. Will replace them and get the tracking done at the same time.

Its as though the car slips sideways an inch or two,my tyres are runflats that have been passed by bmw in their 'safety'check-up

I have about 4-5mm on my Bridgestone RFs and they do slip on the relatively new tarmac in my street when its wet even when doing 5mph.

Mine do it a bit when Im parking on the block paving where I park my car when its wet, its not a big deal so I dont worry about it

Mine make a scrabbling noise when reversing out of my drive as I turn sharp right as I go backwards. It's always done it and I gather they all do it.My wife's old MX5 did it too. Something to do with big wheels and sharp lock.I don't think it's owt to worry about.

well I suppose the underlying question is does DSC (and associated acronyms) work in reverse? Probably not I'd guess but WTF do I know....

Mine used to do it on full lock both forward and reverse. Ditching rfts helped but Hunter wheel alignment sorted the problem.

Knew alignment was a problem when i went through first set of falkens on the front in 5000 miles, rears were like new :( Totally transformed the car :driving:
